Charitable Causes
One of WiERC’s strong initiatives is to give back to the communities within Wisconsin. Through the years we’ve accomplished this with our members’ generosity and gifts of time through their volunteerism. Our goal is to include a simple way for members to help their neighbors each time we meet. This includes collecting requested items, hands-on helping and participating in a 50-50 raffle at each meeting. |

| Women and Children’s Horizons’ mission is to provide support, shelter, education, training and healing services to victims of sexual and domestic abuse, their families and the community. WiERC works closely with and understand the impact we can make. For several years now, our annual Holiday UGLY Sweater meeting has provided requested gifts to families in the shelter and has placed smiles on many faces at the holidays. We also recently created Birthday in a Box packages for each child at the shelter to ensure a birthday celebration during their temporary stay. | Feeding America’s mission is to Solve Hunger with a vision of using a fresh approach to partner with communities to ensure everyone in need has access to nutritious food for healthy lives. Sadly 1 in 12 people in Wisconsin are food insecure with assistance needed to package meals that can be distributed throughout Eastern Wisconsin. WiERC has volunteered to pack food for those in need.
